Salted Fiber Works

Marselia Star Yacht Refurbishment

Marselia Star - Refurbishment & Reconstruction

Salted Fiber Works was selected by Marselia Maldives to carry out the comprehensive refurbishment of the Marselia Star yacht, originally designed and built by an Egyptian boat builder.

The project involved extensive external and internal refurbishment works, as well as structural repairs and reconstruction of selected sections of the yacht. The objective was to restore performance, safety, and aesthetics while extending the vessel’s operational life.

Scope of Work

The refurbishment scope covered both cosmetic and structural elements, including:

External fiberglass repairs and surface refurbishment
Internal refurbishment and repair works
Structural repairs and partial reconstruction of damaged sections
Surface preparation, finishing, and detailing
Systems and component rectification where required

All works were executed with careful attention to marine-grade standards and long-term durability in tropical conditions.

Project Execution

The project was executed on Dhiyamigili Island, presenting typical island-based logistical and operational challenges. Salted Fiber Works mobilized skilled manpower, tools, and materials to ensure uninterrupted progress throughout the refurbishment period.

Despite the complexity of the repairs, the project was successfully completed within a two-month timeframe, from June to August 2021, meeting the client’s operational requirements.
